SSUET plans to establish IT park

Karachi:An IT Park project is being undertaken by Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET).

An official of the institution said on Sunday that the project would cost Rs700 million and would be completed in three years time.

Project Director Yahya Waliullah said the park will also be open to private sector for software development, business process outsourcing, establishment of call centres, technical support centres, hardware development and research centre, telecom technology development and research, training and development center etc.

This will also be open to all academic institutions in the area and in Karachi for advisory services to private sector.

The SSUET has acquired 200 acres of land in the Education City on Link Road of Super and National Highways.

The project director said that on completion, the park will play a vital role in the development and growth of IT and IT enabled services.The news
