1,044 awarded degrees at SSUET convocation

KARACHI: The Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology awarded degrees to 1,044 passing out students at its recent 14th convocation held on Saturday.
The degrees were awarded to the passing out students of Batch 2007 in five disciplines - electronic, computer, biomedical and civil engineering and computer science.
Addressing the students at the convocation, SSUET Chancellor ZA Nizami said: “Now you are graduates and this is the most critical time for life changing decisions. A new chapter is about to begin, so remember future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. To me, the luckiest is the one who makes his dreams come true and ultimately leave behind a legacy.”

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Saiyid Nazir Ahmed presented the annual report. He said in his speech, “These years have seen landmark achievements in the domain of engineering education, search for excellence and promotion of values. This progress entails qualitative and quantitative enhancement, both in terms of men and material.” A total of 15 gold medals were presented to graduates securing first, second, and third positions in the disciplines of computer, electronic, bio-medical and civil engineering and computer science.Daily time
