A farewell party hosted in honor of Prof. Mirza Saleem Baig.

The Vice Chancellor University of Sindh Prof.Dr.Nazir A. Mughal has said that more evening programs will be launched in key disciplines and number of students will be increased up to 50000 to facilitate more candidates for higher education in the University. He was addressing to Deans and heads of the administration and teaching departments on occasion of a farewell party hosted in honor of Prof. Mirza Saleem Baig Executive Assistant to Vice Chancellor who relieved to complete his Ph.D work during couple of coming months under the department of Urdu and a welcome to Mr. Muhammad Hussain Shaikh who has join as Chief of Staff to Vice Chancellor in addition to his own duties as Advisor to Planning and Development of the University. The Vice Chancellor said that giving honour to staff members is to appreciate their services, encouragement for others and appreciated services of Prof.Saleem Baig Mirza. He said that Prof. Mirza was very courteous and real hardworking who dedicated full time to handle office work of Vice Chancellor secretariat. The Vice Chancellor hoped that Prof.Mirza after completing his Ph.D work will re-join the office of Vice Chancellor again. The Vice Chancellor pointed out that he is interested to start more evening programs to adjust remaining 5500 candidates who do not selected in morning shift for admissions in the University and also due to limited number of seats in various institutes and departments. He said that special efforts will be made to provide quality of education to students under the evening program and added that a large number capable candidates from different parts of Country wish to get higher education in the University and we must not forget their wishes. He said that some evening programs will also be launched to occupy availed space of classrooms in evening and added that there is need to utilize available space for the education purpose. The Vice Chancellor said that through evening programs not only more funds and resources of the University will be raised but a number of interested candidates for education will also be facilitated. In connection with appointment of senior Officer Mr. Muhammad Hussain Shaikh as Chief of Staff , the Vice Chancellor said that due to rush of work as well as to response to people about their variety of quarries he wish to respond them immediately and to streamline the office work of Vice Chancellor secretariat. He also announced that a full fledged post of Director Human Resource Development will be announced very soon. The Vice Chancellor advised the Deans of the Faculties to develop proposals for starting of evening programs under their concerned faculties.
