Karachi:The acting vice-chancellor (VC) of the University of Karachi (KU), and the dean of Science, Dr Shahana Urooj Kazmi, was in disbelief when The News sought her version on the matter. “This is unbelievable! It is shocking. I will call all the people concerned to my office on Tuesday to thoroughly investigate the matter,” Kazmi said. The acting VC assured The News that serious action would be initiated against those involved in this scandal. However, she stopped short of providing guidelines that the university will follow to address this issue. —ZA The news
