In Sindh SSC Exam 2013 Start


Hyderabad, April 8 : Our Mirpurkhas correspondent adds: Around 60,000 candidates — 36,000 boys and 24,000 girls — are expected to appear in the exams in Mirpurkhas division for which 123 centers have been established.

BISE Mirpurkhas Secretary Barkat Qureshi said on Sunday that 45 centres had been set up for boys and 23 for girls. The remaining centres were for both girls and boys, he added.

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Hyderabad has finalised arrangements for holding the annual exams of class IX and X starting on Monday.
BISE chairman Prof Abdul Aleem Khanzada brief the media about the arrangements and programme, and said that the SSC part-I and II examinations in nine districts of Sindh would come to an end on April 18.
He said that the districts where the exams were being held are Hyderabad, Badin, Matiari, Shaheed Benazirabad, Jamshoro, Dadu, Tando Mohammad Khan, Tando Allahyar and Thatta. For around 115,000 candidates registered for the exams, 206 centres had been established, he said.
He said that monitoring teams comprising senior board officials and teachers would supervise the process.
Appreciating the steps taken by the Sindh caretaker government for the peaceful holding of the exams, he said that the BISE had urged the local administrations to enforce Section 144 of Cr.PC around all exam centres to check cheating. Requests had been made to relevant authorities for exempting exam centres from power loadshedding, he said, adding that deployment of police and Rangers to maintain law and order had also been urged.Dawn.
