Karachi:07 February: In charge Gynecology Ward Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) allegedly slapped a fellow doctor which forced medical staff to boycott duties in the ward and gynecology OPD causing immense nuisance to the patients, while journalists were not allowed to enter the JPMC premises on Monday.Sources told PPI that a professor of Gynecology Ward slapped a lady doctor working under her supervision, besides using derogatory language which resulted in a duty boycott in the hospital.Doctors protested for three hours in front of JPMC Director Office and Najamuddin Auditorium. The protestors were of the view that the hospital administration behaves meanly with them which causes mental torture to them. Deputy Director of the hospital Dr Seemi Jamali and Assistant Director Chaudhary Akram told the media that confrontation broke out between two lady doctors but later the matter was resolved while staff has ended by boycott and rejoined duties.PPI.
