Minister for non-formal literacy centres

KARACHI:31 December : Senior Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq has directed the Secretary Education Sindh to establish non-formal literacy centres for those children who do not go to school for certain reasons.
This he said while talking to the children who worked at tea shop at Mohallah Gharibabad in Dadu city, said a statement issued here on Sunday. The children working there told the minister that they were unable to get education due to poverty.
The minister directed the District Education Officer Dadu Sher Zaman Soomor to establish three non-formal literacy centres at Machi Market, Gharibabad and Marck Pur Mohallah UC 4 to provide education to these children.
Pir called upon the retired teachers to perform voluntary services at these non-formal literacy centres so that these children could be able to get the education. app.
