MPhil, PhD admission tests at Karachi University today

Karachi:May 14:The Board of Advanced Studies and Research, University of Karachi, announced on Friday that the varsity would hold admission tests for MPhil, PhD, MS and MD programmes 2017 on Sunday.

According to BASR convener Professor Dr Muhammad Ahmed Qadri, the tests will start at 10am and around 2, 948 students have been declared eligible to appear in them.

He said 2, 513 students would sit the test for the MPhil programme, 328 candidates had registered for the PhD programme, 44 students had been enrolled for the MD programme and 63 students had submitted forms for the MS programme.

Dr Qadri further said that 1, 165 students applied in the faculty of science, 764 candidates in social sciences, 190 students in pharmacy, 273 candidates in management and administrative sciences, 105 students in education, 292 candidates in Islamic studies and 52 students applied for admissions in the faculty of law. He directed that all the candidates had been instructed to reach the venue half an hour before the start of the test with their original CNICs and admit cards. He added that the list of successful candidates would be announced on the official website of Karachi University on May 19, 2017.

“All those students who have received their degrees from HEC-recognised private academic institutions or foreign universities must get their equivalency certificates from the deputy registrar (academics), KU, before provisional admission.”The news.
