Chemistry paper leaked BEIK

Karachi:03 May:The chemistry exam paper was reportedly leaked 15 minutes before the exam was to commence at 9am.

The incident occurred despite the Intermediate board’s rules binding exam centres to ensure the question paper does not get out of the centre before an hour after the exam starts.

When inquired, Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BEIK) Chairperson Prof Inam Ahmed said the papers were purposely being leaked to malign the board’s efforts. He added the authorities would write to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to look into the matter.

A few days ago, the Physics exam paper of the matriculation board was also leaked through WhatsApp.

On the other hand, students appearing for examinations at the Bahria College, Karsaz campus, complained of not being provided with the stipulated three-hour time to complete their Chemistry exam.

According to the students they were given the paper after almost an hour but the answer scripts were forcefully collected two hours later.

Fearful of losing their aggregate percentage in the annual examinations, the students claimed that the examination centre’s superintendent said the college did not receive the question paper on time owing to a traffic mess.

The students blamed the Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) for poor management.

Similar issues were reported during the annual Secondary School Certificate Parts I and II examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK).
Impersonation cases

Another cheating tactic came to fore when admit cards were found to have photos of candidates sitting for the exam instead of those actually enrolled to appear in the paper.

A member of the board's vigilance committee told Geo News that they caught two candidates sitting the exam for someone else. The news.
