Karachi University awards 16 PhD, 14 MPhil degrees

Karachi:July 6:The Board of Advanced Studies and Research, University of Karachi, has awarded 16 PhD and 14 MPhil degrees in various disciplines, a varsity spokesman announced on Wednesday. The spokesperson said KU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan had accorded formal approval to this effect during a recent meeting.

PhD degrees have been awarded to Syeda Kahkashan Kazmi in Biotechnology (Dr AQ Khan Institute of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering), Sumbul Ahmed (Chemistry), Humaira Yasmin (Persian), Omme Asma and Muhammad Ali (Political Science), Abdul Rahim Khan (Marine Biology), Sadia Saleem Rao (Pharmacology), Abdul Rehman Khan (Islamic Learning), Rukhsana Israil (Urdu), Kanwal Qadeer (Clinical Psychology), Muhammad Rashid Tanweer (Physics), Sidra Tul Muntaha (Chemistry), Salman Ahmed Khan (Molecular Medicine), Samina Rauf (Social Work), Lubna Bashir (Pharmaceutics), and Abdul Wasiu Bhutto (Usool Ud Din).

The MPhil degrees have been awarded to Abdul Hameed (Marine Biology), Aminuddin, Saad Uddin Khan, Fazle Rabbi and Muhammad Bilal Bin Abdul Rauf (Applied Economics Research Centre), Hira Khalid, Rabia Sattar and Zoya Ali Saleem (Clinical Psychology), Saima Abedin and Syed Hameez Jawed (Pharmaceutics), Anum Khalid Khan (Molecular Medicine), Deenish Dabeer (Chemistry HEJ), Humera Akbar (Education), and Shahida Perveen (Quran and Sunnah).The news.
