DUHS admin asks staff to provide false evidence against former VC

KARACHI:15 July: The Employees of Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) Karachi who are under suspension have accused the university administration of pressurizing employees to provide 'false proofs' against the former university's Vice Chancellor Masood Hameed Khan. After failing to do so the administration has fired three contract employees and suspended two regular employees.
Speaking at a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Friday, Muhammad Noman, Mohsin Khan and Sana said that university administration has threatened several other low grade employees in a similar way. This situation has created unrest amongst the employees which is affecting their performance and services provided to the patients, they claimed.

"On July 8, 2017 Director Finance Nadeem Shakoor along with his team raided the office and told us to become witnesses against the former VC," Noman and Mohsin said.

When we refused to follow directions, we were locked in the room for hours on the direction of director finance who threatened us with serious consequences.Published in Daily Times, July 15th , 2017.
