Chinese firm to donate equipment for public school

Thatta:01 July:A Chinese firm, China Three Gorges South Asia Investment Limited (C-SAIL), will donate furniture and other equipment for the Government Primary School Jhimpir, District Thatta, at a ceremony on Monday.
C-SAIL is a subsidiary of China Three Gorges (CTG) and has different projects of hydro and wind energy in Pakistan under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) agreement, read a press release issued by the economic section of the Chinese Consulate on Friday.
China Three Gorges is committed to support Pakistan not only economically but also socially. Keeping in mind the importance of education in Pakistan, CTG is helping Government Primary School Jhimpir, District Thatta. The ceremony will be held at the school at 11am on July 3, read the statement.

The materials that will be handed over to the school’s principal include school desks for children, tables and chairs for teachers, blackboards, water coolers, wall clocks for classrooms and a podium for school events.

A senior officer of the Chinese Consulate in Karachi, chief executive officer of the Three Gorges First Wind Farm Pakistan (Pvt) Limited, CEO of Three Gorges Second and Third Wind Farms Pakistan (Pvt) Limited, director of the Alternative Energy Development Board Imtiaz Ali Shah, EDO Education, Member of National Assembly Jahangir Palari, and other government officials and public representatives would be attending the event.The news.
