89 new principals complete training

Karachi:July 30:As many as 89 newly-recruited headmasters and headmistresses of the Karachi region were awarded completion certificates on Thursday.

The Secretary Education Schools Abdul Aziz Uqaili distributed certificates among them at a ceremony held at the Government Elementary College, Qasimabad.

He congratulated the headmasters and headmistresses for completing the training of 14 days.

The education secretary said that it was an important milestone because it would provide them an opportunity to take charge of schools and increase enrolment.

He further said that recruitment process of HMs was pending since the past 14 months, and hoped this would strengthen public sector.

Uqaili told the HMs that they would be able to improve the quality of education in the government schools and would be given decent salaries.

He announced that any headmaster who increased enrolment significantly in a year will be rewarded accordingly.

“The provincial government had recruited 1,018 headmasters and headmistresses across the province, with 254 females and 764 males,” they said.

He mentioned that the training of 54 master trainers, 13 females and 41 males was conducted from July 8 to 12 at SZABIST.

He explained that in this connection, the department had established six regional training centres in Karachi, Hyderabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Larkana and Mirpur Khas.The news.
