Two teachers among three ‘go missing’ from Mithi

THARPARKAR:09 August: Three renowned social activists, two of them teachers, have reportedly been picked up from their homes in Mithi city of Tharparkar late on Monday night, family members told Daily Times.

Teacher and educationist Partab Shivani, teacher and writer Naseer Kumbhar and local leader of Sindhi Nationalist party, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM), Mohammad Umer were 'abducted' by plainclothesmen who were accompanied by Tharparkar police personnel, the family members of the victims told journalists on Tuesday.

"Shivani was struggling to open the closed schools in the district and he had never ever remained in any nationalist party and his abduction is surprising," said a member of his family.
