Nursing students stage protest against ‘unfair results

KARACHI:04 August: The Students of various nursing institutions staged protest in Karachi on Thursday against the examination results and blamed that various irregularities were conducted during the results by Sindh Nurses Examination Board.
They were carrying placards demanding , fair results and justice.

The proctors blamed that Sindh Nurses Examination Board was not conducted through the books and even Viva was not conducted. Around 60 students of General Nursing from first year to final year in Karachi were affected by 'un-fair result', they said.

They said that new management of Sindh Nurses Examination Board went for re-assessment which is not under the rule of Pakistan Nursing Council. Similarly viva voce examinations of three subjects were not held.

In addition the results were announced eights months late despite that it were prepared during previous management of Sindh Nurses Examination Board.
They blamed that examination results also showed nepotism as some close relatives of new management were declared to have passed.

Protesting students blamed that tussle between previous and present management groups of Sindh Nurses Examination Board is affecting students future and appealed to the higher authorities to take action.

They announced to continue protest at Karachi Press Club on Friday.
