Karachi:20 March:The NED University Teachers Association (Neta) has expressed concerns over the rumours of cancellation of the selection board meeting, which was supposed to look into different issues, including appointments and promotions of teachers.
According to the general secretary of Neta, Dr Muhammad Imran Aslam, the association called a meeting on Friday, which was presided over its president, Professor Dr Syed Usman Ali Shah.
It was discussed in the meeting that new faculty positions were advertised in May, 2015, but the appointments were still in pending.
Professor Shah, who is also an executive member of the Federation of All Universities Academic Staff Association, claimed that the entire scrutiny process and various selection board meetings arranged in past 10 months to ensure transparency were being illegally rolled back to benefit some of the faculty members. The news.
