UVAS and Royal Veterinary Collage London international training

LAHORE: March 6: The Department of Microbiology of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) in collaboration with Royal Veterinary Collage London organised a weeklong international training course on “Poultry Viral Diagnostics” which started here on Monday. Punjab University’s College of Pharmacy 5th annual convocation

LAHORE: March 6:Punjab University’s College of Pharmacy organised its 5th annual convocation at a local hotel here Monday in which 216 degrees of Pharm-D were distributed among the graduates of session 2012-2017. Punjab University’s Controller of Examinations Prof Dr Sajid Rashid, Dean Faculty of Pharmacy Prof Dr Khalid Hussain, Principal College of Pharmacy Prof Dr Nadeem Irfan Bukhari, senior faculty members and a large number of students and their parents were present on the occasion. Addressing the ceremony, Prof Dr Khalid Hussain said the research culture was being promoted at the college. Post Graduate Medical university Annual Scientific Symposium

LAHORE:February 27: Punjab Minister for Higher Education Syed Raza Ali Gillani has hoped that Post Graduate Medical Institute (PGMI) would be given status of medical university and he would support this too. He expressed this while addressing Annual Scientific Symposium of PGMI held here at Punjab Institute of Neuro Sciences of Lahore General Hospital on Monday, according to a handout issued here. Principal, PGMI, Prof Ghiasun Nabi Tayyab, Prof Agha Shabbir Ali, MS Dr Mahmood Salahuddin, faculty members, medical experts and students were present in a large number. Syed Raza Ali Gillani called upon the students to make efforts and make solid planning of their lives with professional degrees. He appreciated the role of doctors in treating the ailing community. The minister praised the standard of Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital and assured them his full cooperation. He visited posters exhibition arranged by the students. In his welcome address, Principal Prof Dr Ghiasun Nabi Tayyab said to achieve targets and come at par with developed countries young doctors should focus on research activities.
